I Want To Go To There

Tina Fey has said that her three-year-old’s cute phrasing sometimes ends up on 30 Rock–one of which is the phrase, “I want to go to there.”

Do your days look like this?  [From the Blue Yonder Ranch website]

Do you want them to look differently?  Now granted, the same amount of information could have been given in half the time, but the point is that it’s possible to change your life drastically.  You just have to change its deeply rutted rhythms.  NOW.

Here are a couple of ideas to get you started.

Sigh.  I want to go to there.

First, check out the The Blue Yonder Ranch site here, where you’ll find previous issues of the Book of Days, a fabulous downloadable resource for seasonal and crafty ideas to do with the kids.  It’s all about slowing your day down, taking the time to notice.  If you’ll click on the link Using the Book, you’ll find instructions for how to use the treasure you’ve just downloaded.

I, for one, have visions of making a beautiful Amy Butler-patterned quilt that little L and I can throw on the spring or summer ground, surrounded by nature–collecting, drawing, painting, singing, dancing.  I dream of quilts like Amy Butler’s.  You can find her free patterns at Amy Butler’s Design site, under free sewing patterns.  Go, go, go!

Couldn’t you just EAT those colors?

And soon, Liliana and I will have a seasonal nature table, full of fabulous discoveries.  More on that at The Magnifying Glass here.

Ahhhh.  I want to go to there.
