The Purpose of Life is Not Necessarily To Be Happy

LOVE this quote I found on Kind Over Matter.  It makes sense somehow.

I cannot believe that the purpose of life is to be “happy.” I think the purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be compassionate. It is, above all, to matter and to count, to stand for something, to have made some difference that you lived at all.

I agree entirely. And I suspect that happiness is a byproduct of those things. xox

I would agree with Lindsey fully. It took 59 years to figure that one out…But I did, and that’s what is important to me. I, after all, is a journey and a puzzle to decipher. Some of us take a little longer than others.

That should read: It, after all is a journey….

Oh, it’s taken me WAY too long, too, Don. I don’t think you’re alone in that sentiment!
