Requests for Actual Biblical Account of Eve
One question that keeps popping up, from people who’ve already read Eve, is: Which parts are truth, and which parts are fiction?
Needless to say, I’m not expecting you, my dear readers, to know the original account of Adam and Eve and their children. In fact, it may only confuse you. But for those interested in seeing the skeleton of the story that appears in the Bible (or Torah), I’ve added a new page to this website. Here is the Biblical account of the creation and Adam and Eve’s story.
I’m being awfully transparent here. Once you’ve read both my fictional account and the Biblical account, you can judge for yourself how you feel the stories mesh. Of course, no story is complete without research, and again, you can access all the books I used under the bibliography listing under Eve.
Whenever one writes historical fiction, he or she has to decide what to include, what to exclude, and what to create. You’ll see that I’ve done all three, to tell a good story. But I don’t think my story is too far-fetched, if you’ve dug into all the research.
Questions are good. Questions strengthen your beliefs–either way. Ask them, talk about them, and you’ll find that it’s a challenging and refreshing exercise.
For those of you who just want a good yarn, simply immerse yourself in Eve, and enjoy it for the adventure it is. No thinking required!
