I first heard this song, believe it or not, on the Shrek soundtrack.  Rufus Wainwright does the honors.  It’s a Leonard Cohen song, though, and since then, I’ve heard many renditions of it, especially in movies.

Here’s Brandi’s take on it…and I’m hoping she does it at her concert in September, because I’m going!

Do you have songs like that?  That make you feel good every time you hear them?

[Update 10.18.10: This song has disappeared on YouTube; however, you can find the video here.]

The quote I live by

Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day.
