Gratitude Journal Winners and a Poem
Ta-da! We have the two winners of the Gratitude Journal!
[May I say right now that those of you who didn’t win need to take it up with the three-year-old, as she was the Designated Chooser of the Folded-Up Pieces of Paper!] Ach. I wish I could give all of you journals to write your “thank-you”s in. But alas, I cannot.
Mara and Anne, you’ve won! Please e-mail me with your current addresses (comment4elissa at gmail dot com), and I shall have the journals mailed straight to your doorstep.
Thank you all for entering, and if you haven’t already listened to the gratitude discussion between Oprah and Sarah Ban Breathnach, you can do so here.
To leave you another small gift for this lovely season, I give you a poem from Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer, “Climbing the Ridge.” [She reads her poems, and they’re so charming to hear in her voice, that I’m encouraging you to go to her website, which you can access here.]
one step
one step
i stop
i take
one breath
one breath
warm sun
above
white snow
below
i breathe
i take
one step

That’s gratitude, I’d say. Wouldn’t you?
I shall see you all on Sunday, since I’m taking a couple of days off to spend with my sweet family. See you then!
