Illness
I’ve taken an intermittent hiatus the last couple of days, from writing blog posts, because we’re all suffering from the flu (or something similar).
I thought I was being diligent, responsible, when I signed little L and myself up for the flu mist (the vaccine not being available here until November). The nurse told us, quite sweetly I might add, “You may experience some mild symptoms, because, you know, you’re getting a smidgen of live virus.”
MILD SYMPTOMS? We got the full-blown shebang, and now Dan has it, too. “Remind me,” he says in his barely there voice, “why this is a good thing?”
I tell him, “Well, maybe we get it now, and we won’t get it later,” but I know, you know, that’s not how it works. Does it? Ever?
Ugh.
It makes me so thankful for health.
