Two Cookbooks
I’m loving these cookbooks right now and thought I’d share. They’re not at all alike, yet they share a similar hunger for delicious food.
The first is Hot Sour Salty Sweet, a huge coffee table-sized book with glorious pictures and tons of history following the people of Southeast Asia. Quite fascinating and breathtaking, all in one.
I could look at the pictures all day. [Photo credit for following pictures: Hot Sour Salty Sweet]
The second book, Love Soup by Anna Thomas, is chock-a-block with soups and stocks. Spring Green Soup. Caramelized Cabbage Soup. Spicy Butternut Ginger Soup. Creamy Potato and Roasted Garlic Soup.
I’m a soup person myself. There’s nothing more comforting than a bowl of hot soup, accompanied by a loaf of steaming bread…except maybe chocolate.
This recipe–from Love Soup–is next on my list. Thomas’s Roasted Turnip and Winter Squash Soup. Need a little help? View this 2-minute video, presented by none other than Thomas!
Now wipe that saliva off your chin before you go out into the world.
Bon appétit!
