Sandpaper Letters
The time has come. No longer can I avoid straight-out “teaching.” Liliana is aching to learn her letters. After figuring out that I couldn’t possibly beat this price at Kid Advance by doing it myself (in a way that Liliana cannot possibly destroy the cards), I’ve caved in and shelled over the money.
Today, we started with “a,” “s,” and “m.” I can see how this whole kinesthetic thing makes a child’s brain fire in a whole new way. She can’t quite trace the letters perfectly, but then again, that’s what’s called progress.
I’m looking forward to it. She’s so eager. And happy.
Do you remember learning your letters and sounds?
