Charlie and Lola

My friend Clara sent these wonderful words to me this morning, and I must share:

Henri-Frederic Amiel wrote: “Life’s short and we never have enough time for the hearts of those who travel the way with us.  O, be swift to love! Make haste to be kind.”

Isn’t that a lovely thing to think about today?

Last night, Dan said to me, after tucking Liliana in bed, “Yeah, she was saying something about ‘Charlie, he’s English!’”  And my sister Amy, who’s visiting for several days, piped up, “Oh, Charlie!  I’ll bet she means Charlie and Lola!”

Blank looks from Dan and me.

“You know, Charlie and Lola, the show?”

“They’re the best!”

So, we’re assuming she saw a clip at school.  When we went to YouTube, there they were, in all their cuteness.  Who knew?

I give you “Lucky, Lucky Me!”

I’m holding your heart on this journey.  Whose are you holding?

The quote I live by

Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day.
