Favorite Library Finds

Brooke Reynolds of Inchmark contributed her Favorite Library Finds to small magazine here.  [Update on 1.3.11: This link is now dead.  The closest I can get to the list is here.]  Such a great list.

‘Tis the season for meaningful and simple gifts, so FYI.

Books last almost forever, and they’re great passer-downers.  [Is that even a word?]

I’m doing everything I can to give Liliana an appreciation for books (at least as much as I’m able), and I’m hoping she’ll box her personal library up some day to take with her, or leave them with me, so I can be a very cool grandparent.

[Because by then, books will be a glorious oddity, since Kindles (or other-such-technology) will be the norm.  That’s okay.  Similar to explaining a turntable or cassette tape to this generation’s wondrous eyes and ears, I’ll explain the texture and splendor of the printed page to her kids (if she chooses to have them).  And I’m so down with that.]

What are you reading to your children…or grandchildren…or little friends right now?  Do tell.
