Sarah Blasko hails from Australia (yay, Becky, yay, Jess, yay, Molly!) and has been compared to Norah Jones, Sarah McLachlan, and Fiona Apple.  You can hear a selection of her songs on her MySpace page.

Although this particular song is a relationship song, to me, it’s a song about overcoming adversity, which–let’s face it–we’ve all had to do.  Look at all the obstacles she has to go through.  Look how she survives.  Look how she’s still standing at the end–all by her strong self!

Bonus: it’s a treat to watch the animation done by Celeste Potter.  LOVE it, don’t you?
